These Terms govern use of Screen Signals and the free Screen Signals public creator-rating service. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Adult parent and guardian use
You must be at least 18 years old to submit creator searches, request assessments, or contact support. Screen Signals is designed for adult parents and legal guardians and is not offered for children to operate.
2. What Screen Signals provides
Screen Signals organizes public YouTube creator information, available transcripts, sampled public videos, and automated analysis into age-specific ratings and parent guides. The service is free and does not require a parent account or payment.
3. Important limits
Assessments may contain mistakes or miss context, humor, tone, visual-only material, deleted content, livestreams, comments, recommendations, or newer uploads. A score summarizes observed patterns in a sample. It is not a professional opinion, diagnosis, safety guarantee, recommendation of every upload, or automatic verdict about a creator or child.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing the evidence, applying your knowledge of your child and family, and making your own parenting decisions. You may not misuse the service, evade rate limits, submit automated requests, interfere with security, scrape protected systems, or use Screen Signals to harass, threaten, impersonate, or defame another person.
5. Public assessments and corrections
A request for a creator not already in the catalog may produce a new public and indexable assessment page. Creators and other adults may submit factual corrections or material context by emailing kevin@kevinwimer.com. Screen Signals decides whether and how to update, label, withhold, or remove an assessment based on available evidence and service integrity.
6. Availability and changes
Research capacity, external provider limits, and maintenance may delay or prevent a new assessment. We may add, remove, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the free service, including on-demand creator research.
7. Ownership and feedback
Screen Signals, its software, design, methodology, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Public YouTube information remains subject to its applicable owners and terms. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without obligation or compensation.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Notice explains how Screen Signals handles creator searches, technical information, public assessment records, and support messages.
9. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, fitness for a particular family decision, or identification of every concern. To the extent permitted by law, Screen Signals is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the free service.
