Terms of Service

Effective and last updated August 9, 2026

These Terms govern your use of ScreenSignals.ai and the ScreenSignals service (“ScreenSignals,” “we,” “us,” or “the Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Parent and guardian use

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian authorized to provide the viewing information you submit. ScreenSignals is for adult account holders in the United States and is not offered directly to children. Do not give a child access to your parent account.

2. What ScreenSignals provides

ScreenSignals organizes supported YouTube viewing history, public video information, available transcripts, and automated analysis into private reports for parents. Reports may include mistakes or miss context, humor, tone, deleted material, or private family circumstances. ScreenSignals provides signals for your review—not diagnoses, professional advice, safety guarantees, or automatic verdicts about a child or creator.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for using an accurate first name or nickname and age, submitting only information you are authorized to use, protecting your account, reviewing evidence before acting, and deciding what is appropriate for your family. You may not misuse the Service, attempt to access another household’s data, interfere with security, reverse engineer protected systems, or use ScreenSignals to surveil, shame, discriminate against, or harm a child.

4. Subscriptions and renewal

ScreenSignals Household includes the complete available feature set for one household and up to five child profiles. Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars before purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current disclosed price unless canceled before renewal. Stripe processes payments; we do not receive your full card number.

5. Cancellation and access

You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal available in Settings. Cancellation stops future renewal. You retain full use of the Service through the end of the billing period you already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, you likewise retain full use through the end of that paid period, but access may end afterward unless payment is resolved.

6. 30-day money-back guarantee

Every ScreenSignals charge is covered by a 30-day, 100% money-back guarantee. Use the private support form within 30 days of the charge from the email associated with your account. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. See the Refund Policy for details.

7. Privacy and family data

Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle account, billing, child-profile, viewing, analysis, and technical information. Your original Google Takeout ZIP is read in your browser and is not stored by ScreenSignals as a file; the viewing entries and derived analysis required for your reports are sent to and stored by the Service.

8. Availability and changes

We may improve, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, and may update pricing for future billing periods with legally required notice. We may suspend access to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or address security and operational risks.

9. Ownership and feedback

ScreenSignals, its software, design, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain your rights in information you provide. You give us permission to process that information only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without obligation or compensation, without identifying your family publicly.

10. Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, fitness for a particular parenting decision, or identification of every risk. ScreenSignals is not a substitute for your judgment, direct conversation, professional advice, or emergency services. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amount you paid ScreenSignals during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits apply only to the extent allowed.

11. Governing terms

These Terms and any dispute are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the state where ScreenSignals is operated, without overriding consumer rights that cannot legally be waived. Before filing a claim, please email us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be sent through the private support form.
