FAMILY PRIVACY

Privacy Notice

Effective and last updated August 9, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how ScreenSignals.ai (“ScreenSignals,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information when an adult parent or legal guardian uses the Service. ScreenSignals is a U.S.-only, parent-directed service and is not intended for children to use on their own.

1. Information we collect

Parent account information

We receive your email address, authentication identifiers, sign-in method, and basic account-security information from our authentication provider. A parent name is optional and is not required by ScreenSignals.

Child profile information

You provide a child’s first name or nickname and age. We do not ask for a child’s email address, Google password, full legal name, school, address, or phone number.

Viewing and report information

Your browser reads the Google Takeout file you select. The original ZIP is not uploaded or stored as a file by ScreenSignals. Supported viewing entries and optional records you choose to include, public video and channel details, available or generated transcripts, analysis results, scores, report evidence, and processing records are sent to and stored by the Service so we can create and maintain your reports.

Billing information

Stripe processes your purchase and provides us with customer, subscription, price, payment status, billing interval, and transaction identifiers. ScreenSignals does not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Technical and marketing information

We may collect IP address, device and browser information, request and error logs, page paths, referring domain, advertising click identifiers, and campaign parameters such as UTM source, medium, and campaign. Our first-party funnel analytics do not include child names, viewing entries, report content, or scores.

Support information

When an adult parent or legal guardian contacts us through the Help Center, we collect the name, email address, selected topic, message, delivery status, and related support correspondence. For messages sent while signed in, we may also attach the parent account identifier, subscription status, internal active-profile identifier, limited import processing status and counters, and browser information to help troubleshoot the request. This attached support context does not include child names, viewing history, report content, or scores. We store a one-way hash of the network address used to submit the form for rate limiting and abuse prevention rather than storing that address with the support request.

2. How we use information

We use information to authenticate parents; create separate child profiles; process viewing history; produce, display, and update private reports; provide billing and customer support; detect fraud and abuse; troubleshoot and secure the Service; measure acquisition and onboarding performance; comply with law; and improve reliability and usefulness.

3. Service providers

We use vendors that process information for specific operational purposes. These currently include Clerk for authentication; Stripe for billing; OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, databases, and delivery; Resend for transactional and support email delivery; Google Ads for advertising attribution and conversion measurement on public marketing and onboarding pages; Supadata for supported YouTube metadata and transcript services; and OpenRouter and its selected model providers for automated video analysis. Analysis requests are designed to use public video information and necessary transcript content rather than a child’s profile identity or complete household history. Vendors process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

4. Advertising and analytics boundaries

We use Google Ads measurement on public marketing and parent-operated onboarding pages. We do not intentionally send child names, ages, viewing history, video titles, report content, scores, or in-app report activity to advertising platforms. We do not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that creates a legal right to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, we will provide the required control before using information that way.

5. When we disclose information

We disclose information to service providers working for us; when you direct us to; to protect the security, rights, and safety of users or others; in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards; or when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request. We do not publish a family’s report or viewing history.

6. Retention

We retain account, profile, viewing, analysis, billing, and support records while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service, answer requests, resolve disputes, maintain financial and security records, and meet legal obligations. You can delete individual saved history updates in the product where available or request account and data deletion through the Help Center. Some limited records may be retained when legally required, and deletion from disaster-recovery backups may take additional time.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information associated with your account through the private support form. We may need to verify that you control the account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a denied request or to use an authorized agent. You may cancel billing separately through the Stripe customer portal.

8. Children’s privacy

ScreenSignals is designed for adult parents and legal guardians, not for children to create accounts or submit information. A parent chooses whether to provide supported viewing history and controls the account. If you believe a child has created an account or provided information without appropriate adult involvement, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

9. Security

We use safeguards intended to protect information, including authenticated access, provider-managed payment collection, and access controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique, protected email account and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. U.S. processing and changes

ScreenSignals is offered only in the United States, and information is processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. We may update this notice as the Service changes. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice when required.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the private support form and choose “Privacy or data request.”
